A clearer examination Saturday of a South Philadelphia gas station's surveillance footage shows that there were two shooters Thursday night in the gunfire that killed one 15-year-old boy and wounded another.

The video, provided by the Gulf station on Passyunk Avenue near 25th Street, shows a person on a bike riding into the gas station lot and meeting up with four other youths who were outside. Seconds later, a car pulled up in front of the gas station and a gunman emerged from the backseat, running toward the youths while shooting. As they scattered, the gunman chased one of them, still firing.

As that is taking place, a second shooter can be seen in the video firing from the car's backseat.

Police have said they recovered 16 shell casings.

The shooting killed 15-year-old Rasul Benson of Point Breeze, who was a student at Parkway West High School in West Philadelphia. Another 15-year-old boy was wounded and in stable condition at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Homicide Capt. John Ryan confirmed Saturday that there were two shooters. He said their identities were not known and that the motive for the shooting was still being investigated.

At the gas station Friday, worker Sajjad Hossain said he was in the station's small convenience store when four youths, who frequently hung out there, came in. One was speaking on a cell phone, saying something like "I'm coming" or "Come here," Hossain, 22, recalled.

The four boys then went outside to meet the one who arrived on a bike, Hossain said. Seconds later, the car pulled up in front of the gas station and the shooting began, he said.

Hossain initially saw one shooter in the video, and police on Friday also said they were looking for one male shooter who emerged from the car.

On Saturday, Hossain said he realized later Friday that there was a second person shooting from the car.
