Police: 6 injured in arson fire at Tioga group home

Police charged a man with arson. Six men were hospitalized with injuries and smoke inhalation. One man jumped from the second floor, authorities said.

Six men were injured when a group home in Tioga was engulfed in flames Sunday night, and one man was charged with arson, police said.

The group home is in the 3300 block of North 15th Street, police said. Among the injured was a 32-year-old man who suffered facial trauma after leaping from a second-floor window, police said.

The fire erupted around 6:30 p.m., according to 6ABC.

A man was arrested and charged with setting the fire, according to police.

The other injured men included a 23-year-old who had burns on a hand and four other men, ages 23 to 62, who suffered smoke inhalation and were listed in stable condition at area hospitals.
