Want to celebrate LGBT Pride Month this June with a rainbow full of pizza toppings? Pizzeria Vetri and local street artist Amberella have teamed up on a project that invites you to do just that.

From Thursday to June 14, the pizzeria will offer a specialty Pride pie, topped with leafy green sorrel, charred purple and orange carrots, beige pine nut pesto, and multiple shades of cheesy white (stracciatella, parmigiano). Adding to the color, pies will come packaged in a vibrant, custom-designed box by Amberella, featuring a heart encircling the phrase  "choose love," surrounded by swirls of all different hues.

"We did a Valentine's Day collaboration last year that was really fun and wanted to collaborate again," Amberella said. "We thought about who we are as brands and what we each care about, and that's when we decided to do something around Pride. We've been planning this for almost a year."

The pizza, called the Arcobaleno — "rainbow" in Italian — is $17. For every pie sold, $1 will be donated to Philly Pride Presents, the organizers behind the annual PrideDay (this Sunday) and OutFest (held in October). The pie will be available in-store at all Philly and King of Prussia locations, as well as in D.C., where $1 from every specialty pie will be donated to D.C.'s Capital Pride Alliance, an advocate for LGBT rights.

Customers also can order the pie for delivery via Caviar.

" 'Choose love' is a reminder to not be reactive, to think about other people's feelings, and to be more thoughtful in actions and words," Amberella said. "If you have that intent about you, it will really change how you go about your day and interact with other people.

"It's important to me as an artist to share what I stand behind," Amberella said. "This concept represents inclusion and love to everyone, and we're inviting others to share their own stories in efforts to inspire others."
