The Ninth Annual Moo Shu Jew Show

The Gershman Y's annual comedy showcase returns. Chow down on a multicourse meal in the heart of Chinatown while enjoying performances by Moody McCarthy, Marla Schultz, and Brad Zimmerman. Reservations required.

MONDAY

Reenactment of Delaware River Crossing

Every Christmas, thousands of onlookers gather to hear a reenactment of George Washington's speech and watch several hundred reenactors row across the Delaware River. Early arrival is recommended, and the event is contingent upon weather. If the river is high enough, the reenactors will row across. If not, other festivities will take place.

TUESDAY

World Cafe Live's Winter Beer Festival

If you love beer, head to World Cafe Live's Winter Beer Festival to sample more than 50 beers from 40 breweries, including Goose Island, Port City Brewing, and many more. There will also be live music from the Whiskeyhickon Boys and a full-service bar for those who prefer other libations.

Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra with Joe Bongovi

Chris' Jazz Cafe will host the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra, which includes the best high school and college jazz musicians in the region. Students get $5 in table credit when they purchase tickets online.

Derek Gaines at Punch Line Philly

Comedian Derek Gaines, who grew up in Philadelphia, broke out seven years ago when he became a finalist in Philadelphia's Funniest Person Competition. Most recently, he wrapped filming on The Last O.G., a forthcoming TBS comedy created by Jordan Peele.

Salute to Vienna New Year's Concert

Kwanzaa at the African American Museum
