A woman was killed early Sunday after she was allegedly pushed from a pickup truck and then hit by a car in Kensington in what Philadelphia police are investigating as a possible homicide.

A witness told police that the woman, described as about 30 years old, was pushed from a silver Ford F-150 traveling south on the 3000 block of Frankford Avenue just before 2 a.m. Sunday. A car driving behind the truck struck the woman after she fell into the road, the witness told police.

Paramedics found the woman unresponsive and suffering from head trauma, and pronounced her dead at the scene at 2:02 a.m., said police, who were trying to establish her identity Sunday.

They also were searching for the drivers of both vehicles. Police said the truck had an extended cab, ladder racks, and a missing tailgate. The car was a black Dodge Challenger.
