Video: Imhotep, the charter of champions

The Imhotep girls' and boys' programs won Public League basketball championships Sunday at the Palestra.

The charter of champions did it again. Sunday afternoon at the Palestra, the Imhotep boys' and girls' programs won their seventh and fourth Public League championships, respectively.

Junior guard Jessica Charles won the game's MVP on the girls' side, helping the Lady Panthers knock off defending champ Mastery North, 69-59.

Senior wing Bernard Lightsey earned MVP honors on the boys' side, finishing with a team-best 12 points in the Panthers' bludgeoning of Martin Luther King, 66-37.
